Animal Rehab At La Reserva
Tree bridges have been built by La Reserva with the local utility company for animals to avoid crossing highways and powerlines, but a few sometimes still get hurt.
This sweet little girl sloth burned her front feet trying to cross a power line. After being treated by a vet, she was brought to La Reserva to be cared for until she can be returned to the forest. The cone around her head is to prevent her from removing the bandages.
La Reserva's rehabilitation of animals is in addition to their fine efforts to regenerate tropical forests in Costa Rica. This is why we are proud to support La Reserva with our RIDE AMERICA bike ride.
